The Egerton Arms Hotel Salford, hotel in Manchester

Situated in Manchester, within 700 metres of Opera House Manchester and less than 1 km of Albert Square, The Egerton Arms Hotel Salford features accommodation with free WiFi throughout the property.

A lovely welcome and a pleasant room. Couldn't hear the trains passing or the noise from the street. The room radiator was lovely and hot but you'd still want to bring a jumper if winter as room a little draughty - not badly though. Private shower was great. Sink in room ideal. Shared toilets on the landing were perfectly clean and no problem at all.

The Black Swan, hotel in Glazebrook

Situated in the Cheshire countryside, only 20 minutes’ drive from Manchester city centre, The Black Swan offers elegant rooms, free Wi-Fi, free parking, and an on-site pub restaurant.

Had many social events there well over 50 years ago whilst working at the local steel works. Wanted to stay there and certainly brought back memories. Plus it remains a great pub and place to stay.

It wasn't too busy in the main hotel. Quite peaceful. I appreciated how quickly maintenance sorted the air-con issue in my room. And 'Murray' was a true gent really did take care of me and other customers over dinner and the rest of the evening.

Perfectly equipped rooms, location was great for our needs with a 15 minute walk to the village for dinner or a movie, and some lovely walks nearby. The hotel and facilities were wonderfully clean. The breakfast was excellent, and dishes in the hotplate were refilled regularly. The gym and spa facilities were amazing. We used them twice a day.

Hotel is very new and pristine, excellent location in cathedral quarter and room cost was very good value. Bathroom is much higher end than you'd get at a premier inn.

Very comfortable bed. Room was spotless. Because we had missed dinner, the landlord kindly drove us to a local restaurant! And in the morning when we realised there was no breakfast, the landlady drove us to another place to eat. They were so kind.

Check in was smooth and easy staff very helpful, Dinner at Restaurant food was fantastic had the fish and pie both cooked to perfection. Breakfast was plentiful and lovely (one let down was they no longer did the no-sugar added Alpen). Room was comfortable and clean. Restaurant staff Abbie, Neil and Amelia and Roy very friendly and helpful, and Rose as always brights up the day with her personality and friendly ways. Ian on reception made our check out very friendly and looking forward to come again

I love that you can take your dog with you (not that we did on this occasion but after seeing all the wonderful pooches, we might next time). The building has such a rustic, young neighbourhood vibe that made me feel youthful again. The bar area on the ground floor is the perfect place to meet up with friends or chill with a book and a hot drink. We loved being able to make our own dinner in our apartment and the kitchen had all the necessary utensils.

The room was stunning, food in the Tavern was great and when I wasn't keen on my dinner I was so well accommodated. The spa room was small and sweet, infinity pool is a must for visitors!
