Breakfast was very good and the day we went on tour early, we were provided a to-go breakfast. The room had a beautiful view of the Nile, with hot air balloons flying in the morning. Basic room, but everything in working order. Location was great--right across from the ancient Memnon statues.

no need to engage the hustling tour guides as all the tombs open to the public are together. well signed posted and all the information they impart is in the Lonely Planet Guide book. As they cannot enter the tombs they assume their credibility is to sell you expensive photo packs and arrange a generous gift for them after the conclusion of the tour

6am-10am is the best time to visit the tombs. Don't buy the Luxor premium Pass ( 220 euros for adult and 110 euros for student- it would be half price if you bought Cairo Pass already) as it isn't worth it, (it is supposed to cover the tomb of Nefertari but the tomb is closed atm). They haven't provided us any information about what are included in the Luxor Pass or the Premium Pass. Only one advantage is not to be queued at the entrance to the tombs.

Be aware of the entry fees.
Be aware of the entry fees. Set I alone was an extra 1800LE - nearly £28 per person - the cost per person for all the tombs, including Tutankhamun was £46 each!! Set I was very good, Tut's tomb just had his remains in it. The rest is in the Egyptian Museum.

A ticket only gets you into a few tombs and which ones are open rotates. King Tut is a separate ticket. Not the most exciting tomb (since he died young there wasn't much time to make a big tomb), but his mummy is there.

The Valley of the Re is an amazing place that requires at least 3-4 hours to fully enjoy and appreciate. It's highly recommended to get a guide. The entrance fee is 600 Egyptian pounds and 300 for students, but you need to have a valid student card. While some tombs are included in the tickets, you can only choose 3 tombs to enter. Three tombs require an extra fee: Seti I, Tutankhamun, and Ramses Vand VI. We visited all three and really liked them. The Tomb of Tutankhamun is the smallest with an entrance fee of 500 Egyptian pounds for adults and 250 for students. The Tomb of Seti I is the most expensive, costing 1800 Egyptian pounds with no student discount, but it's considered great and worth the money. The entrance fee for Ramses V and VI is 180 for adults and 90 for students. There is a small train connecting the ticket office and the entrance, costing 20 Egyptian pounds, but the distance is walkable, and one can opt to walk to the entrance. Many local workers inside the tombs offer to take pictures in exchange for a tip. The toilets are not free, and they are dirty; you need to pay 10 Egyptian pounds without a receipt and 15 if you request one.

Plan before hand which tombs to see.
Plan before hand which tombs to see. Worth buying tickets for the individually priced tombs - these are much less crowded. The valley is scorchingly hot, take water, wear a hat and visit early in the morning. Take time to visit Valley of the Queens especially the tomb of Nefertari withs its wonderful decoration.

Very friendly owner and staff.Mr.Sayed took good care of us and organised everything we wanted to see even at short notice. His advice when to go to certain sites was invaluable,so we had the Valley of the Kings to ourselves.
Food very tasty and all freshly cooked, breakfast, lunch, dinner.
We were invited to keep our room for the last day as we had a late flight.
The atmosphere in the hotel was relaxed and friendly.
Very big one bed apartment on the first floor was really nice, and I think there are 5 more. Two balconies over looking the Nile. Staff was excellent. Breakfast was good. Lovely terrace near the pool to watch the Nile traffic. The communication and organisation was fantastic. They organised an excellent guide for the valley of the kings one afternoon and a driver to take us to Dendara for a day trip (tip: get a guide - Dendara is an amazing temple, big and lots to see and learn).
The authentic hotel with a pool, a great terrace to watch the starry skies and overlooking the rocks.
Super friendly and helpful team, especially Ahmad, who helped to book all the transfers and tours for the best value for money.
Free transfer from the airport.
Great homemade food.
The rooms are spacious and very beautiful
The location is great for Hot Air balloon tours, the valley of the kings and queens. Super fast to get to the East bank
El Nakhil is a 5 min walk to the Nile and the ferry to the busier East Bank. It's on a quiet backstreet. A great location to access the Valley of the Kings. The hotel is basic but very clean. Rooms are simple but comfortable and have balconies onto a small pool and courtyard. The staff were friendly. The breakfast was OK but not great; cold flat bread, plain omelette and yoghurt. Service was inconsistent but friendly.
Location- excellent. At a stone throwing distance from Luxor Temple on the East Bank. Front facing rooms have a clear view of the Nile , the valley of the kings over the opposite bank , 2 km away from the Karnak temple. There is a huge local market on the backside of the hotel including some excellent restaurants. Availability of local cabs & horse driven carriage is plenty outside.
Elevator ✔️
Complimentary breakfast at rooftop ✔️ but there is no resturant service.
Great place out of Luxor with lovely breakfasts and an incredible view. We took the public ferry in and out of Luxor itself, it felt v safe and was by far the best way to get to and from the city. Sometimes we got a lift to the ferry from the lovely hotel driver, other times we walked or took a tuk tuk. The valley of the kings and other attractions are really close by, we booked their private car for ease which was a great experience. The staff couldn’t have been more helpful.
The apartment was in the best spot for going to valley of the kings and tombs loads of things to do near by.ahmed and his brother couldn't do enough for us.sorted all lifts out great food.made us feel welcome to there country
The location is great, just accross the river from the main attractions of the East Bank, making it efficient and fun given that the hotel has a boat to help you cross. On the good side of the river to visit the valley of the kings and other attractions from ancient Egypt.
Nasser, the host, was very helpfull.
The hotel went above and beyond to accommodate us and we were upgraded. The location is excellent for watching the sunset and the hot air balloons rise over the Nile and the Valley of the Kings. We also enjoyed the food at the hotel - the Egyptian restaurant was delicious as was the breakfast buffet. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would come again if in Luxor.
The view from my room was magnificent. I liked it. The hotel room was great. It was comfortable to stay for 2 nights. The staff was very kind and hospitable as well. I really liked the hot air balloon and the valley of the kings tours provided by the Nasco Tours within the hotel. A big kudos to our tour guide Rami! I learned a great deal about the Egyptian history. Last but not least, the boat ride led by Arafat in the afternoon was amazing. We really enjoyed it.

There were very few foreign tourists (Feb 2015) as numbers have not yet recovered since the revolution and we didn't have to queue even in the Valley of the Kings and had many sights to ourselves so I recommend you go soon.
