This is an under visited beautiful part of the World!
Our day long trips through the Cafayate Gorge and to Cachi, via the Cardonnes National Park, were wonderful. Also enjoyed dining at Cafayate in one of the several very impressive wineries. We used NOA Travesias (in Salta) who gave us a great 8 day itinerary and provided a superb guide, Jorge Pastrana, who took us around in a very comfortable 4x4.The scenery here and in the wider Salta province is most striking.

Within the city, we really enjoyed the MAAM and the Guemes...
Within the city, we really enjoyed the MAAM and the Guemes museum, and our daughters loved the cable car. We also took several tours around the Salta province and into nearby Jujuy. The landscape is amazing, and people are very friendly. We will definitely go back one day!
