Antica Rheginna Luxury Room

Hotel in Minori

Located in Minori, 600 metres from Minori Beach, Antica Rheginna Luxury Room features views of the city. Beautiful and clean room in a charming town. Location is perfect, everything is close. Breakfasts were excellent with various possibilities, eggs, hams, cheese, fresh fruits, pastries, etc. But most remarkable were the fantastic home made cakes made by Mrs. Anna, we loved them. Everyone was very helpful and friendly, Antonio came to greet us and showed the room, helped to carry our luggages and always had a nice word asking if we were all right when he came along. Lovely Maria greeted us every morning with smile, made us perfect coffee and she was very-very helpful in anything we needed. We don't know the cleaning ladies by name but they were so nice too, always smiling, and as we mentioned the room was tidy and clean. We felt like home. We can absolutely recommend this place.

HOTEL ZI'NTONIO 3 stars

Hotel in Scala

Situated in Scala, 2.7 km from Marina Grande Beach, HOTEL ZI'NTONIO features accommodation with a garden, free private parking and a bar. The hotel is an absolute gem. They take pride in calling themselves “the first hotel in Scala”. It’s a family run business with all the positives, they really make an effort to make you feel at home. Starting from the room, which although a little small, has everything you need for the stay and a balcony with the most amazing view over Ravello on the opposite hill, and partial view to the sea. We were given the option to have the breakfast in the room for no additional charge, or have it in the dining area close to the reception. We opted for the latter. The breakfast deserves a chapter of its own! Fresh pastries with fruit preserves, a separate menu for the omelette varieties on offer, cereals, muesli etc., in addition to fresh coffee, juices and a selection of still or sparkling water. Everything prepared on the spot, fresh and tasty. Luisa who managed the reception, send us a list of things to see, restaurants to dine in and the schedule of the bus. The property offers parking as opposed to many hotels in Amalfi, where parking is either reserved for the residents or excessively expensive. We’re definitely going there again!

FAQs about hotels in Amalfi Coast

A Feast For the Eyes

Comprised of brightly coloured villages cascading down sheer cliffs, the Amalfi Coast is on the opposite side of a peninsula from Sorrento. Between the UNESCO World Heritage-listed villages are lemon groves and winding roads hugging the coastline that are definitely not for the nervous driver!

In wonderful Positano, delicately positioned houses somehow manage to cling to the cliffs. The next village along is Praiano, on a flatter piece of land and with a 12th-century church. Furore in the hills above a fjord has its own winery.

Amalfi itself is picturesque, as it rises from the harbour to the top of its 13th-century cathedral. As the coast’s largest town, it has a good selection of bars, restaurants and accommodation. Adjoining it is Atrani, a fishing village with a dramatic, beachside road supported by arches.

High above is Ravello whose Villa Rufolo’s landscaped gardens offer magnificent panoramas of the coastline below. Due to its position, this town boasts the Amalfi Coast hotels with the best views and, of course, prices to match. Back at sea level Minori and Maiori have the longest beaches.

Due of all this splendor, you might struggle to find cheap Amalfi Coast hotels, but there is also a selection of affordable apartments and B&Bs on Booking.com, and in any case the fantastic views makes the price well worth it.
