The personnel were all exceptionally kind, friendly and helpful. Dinner was excellent, and the extra care to arrange an early breakfast, was also very much appreciated. The hotel is modern, however blends in well with the village surroundings. It is situated on the bus route to and from Westerschelling. The bicycles to rent on site, is also a welcoming feature.

We had a very pleasant stay in the Hotel Bornholm. The staff was exceptionally nice and helpful in any situation. The dining room as well as both the breakfast and à la carte dinner were outstanding. The room was perfectly adequate. The bathtub was a welcome addition after a long day's hike. Overall it made our stay on Terschelling ever more enjoyable.

Hotel Buren is centrally located in West-Terschelling, two blocks behind the high street. But it is, nevertheless, super quiet. Or at least it was in October 2022, when everything on the island itself was relatively quiet. I can't comment on high season. You are in no time in the high street, on the dunes, at the sea.

The hotel is ideally located on the main square of West-Terschelling, where the tower is. It is also walking distance from the port, which is very convenient if you are coming by ferry without car as I did. You are right in the town centre very close to all shops and restaurants.

Everything. Paal 8 Hotel aan Zee is a " must go". Best location in Terschelling.

Cosy, well laid out, new kitchen and comfortable furniture. Location is excellent, close to wonderful dune area, and great walking and biking routes. Staff is very friendly and welcoming and makes one feel at home immediately.

The room was very nice, very spacious and clean. The breakfast was lovely with freshly baked bread, eggs, yoghurt, fresh fruit, coffee/tea, juice etc (all you want/need).

Upon arriving at Pension de Wadvaarder (through the back gate), you’ll enter into a cozy living room and dinning area. Gerrit & Annemieke have a great sense of style and it shows throughout the property, including the garden. The bedroom was spacious and had a small reading room with books (in Dutch). For breakfast you are provided a checklist of items to choose from which are then freshly assembled for you in the morning. The items are excellent quality, some derived from Terschelling (cheese, cranberry compote, eggs…) - lekker! The pension is close to the village center and bus stop. Hikes on the dike, in the forrest, on the dunes, and beach are easily manageable. Of course you can also bike if you want to move around faster and farther.

The main floor dining and sitting area was very nice with good furniture and a lovely atmosphere. Good music was always shared.
